The Centre for Peace Praxis successfully conducted a transformative six-day Conflict Resolution Workshop, facilitated by seasoned peacebuilder Mr. Inbaraj Rabbi. Designed to blend conceptual understanding with real-world exposure, the workshop offered a powerful exploration into the dynamics of conflict and the possibilities of resolution through empathy, dialogue, and action.
Four days of the workshop were devoted to theoretical grounding and experiential exercises. Participants engaged with foundational concepts of conflict, communication, and negotiation, and underwent a personal assessment of their individual conflict resolution styles. The sessions were interactive and reflective, enabling deep learning and self-awareness.
A special session featured an interaction with a former inmate who had served a life sentence and was released for good behavior. His story of transformation and redemption offered a poignant, human lens to the theme of justice and reconciliation.
The other two days, interspersed across the workshop, included a field visit to the Rajendra Nagar Slum in Bangalore, facilitated by the NGO Marga. There, participants witnessed grassroots peace and community-building efforts in action.
The workshop concluded with a screening of Amish Grace, a documentary on forgiveness, leaving participants inspired and emotionally stirred. This workshop exemplified the Centre’s commitment to nurturing peacebuilders equipped for both reflection and field realities.
